Vinay Kumar is a right-handed middle-fast bowler, who played for India's national cricket team in 1 Test, 31 ODIs and T20 matches were also included. He made his first class debut for Karnataka in 2004-05 against Bengal. He was the second highest wicket taker in the 2007-08 season and was the highest wicket taker in the 2009-10 domestic season. Based on his performance in the IPL, he was inducted into the Indian team for the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 in the West Indies. In a match in the tournament, he took two wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs. They captain Karnataka for the historic three domestic titles namely Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Irani Cup for two seasons in 2013-14 and 2014-15. His only test was in Perth against Australia during 2010-11.
