Mohit Chauhan is a famous Indian singer who is also known for his playback in Bollywood, Tollywood, and Kolweed films and for his albums. He was born on March 11, 1966 in the Rajput family of Nahan city of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. He formed the famous Band Silk Route in 1998 with his friends. The band was a turning point in his career, song Doba Dobaa from the band's album Bundin was a quick hit. There are several albums for his credit in 2002, he started his Bollywood career as a playback singer along with the track "Road to the Puzzles Leader" from Film Road. He sang the hit number of the movie "Rang De Basanti", "Masakali" from Delhi-6 and "Tu Hi Ke" from Jai and Mate "Blood Walk". Some of his other hit songs include "Tujhe Jo Jo Naa Kahle", the film "Love Dooraja" from New York, "Ye Dorian" from Love Yeh Yeh, "First Time Mohabbat Ki Hain", "Bedi Si" movie His tracks from Rajanati and "Pi Loon" movie Rockstar from Once Upon A Time in Mumbai were a smash hit. Apart from playback singing, he sang several ad forests too. He has also given voice for Bengali, Tamil and Gujarati films. He won the Zee Cine Award for Best Film Playback Singer twice and won the Filmfare award three times. He also appeared on several television shows.
