Krishnamachari Srikkanth is a great Indian cricketer who spelled cricket fans with his energetic batting style. His invasions and explosive batting made him a great crowd puller. He was an important member of the Indian side who won the 1983 World Cup. He made the top scorer for India in the final against the West Indies. He was also part of the Indian team that won the World Championship in 1985. He also played in the 1987 and 1992 World Cups. He was the captain of the Indian side who visited Pakistan in 1989. He was the initial partner of legendary Sunil Gavaskar for many years. He retired from international cricket in 1993 at the age of 33. After his retirement, he became a broadcaster and a cricket commentator. He also worked as the Chief Selector of the Indian cricket team.
