Kumar Sanu is a famous Indian playback singer. From 1990 to 1994 Kumar Sanu received the Filmfare Best Male Playback Award for five consecutive years. Kumar Sanu performed playback singing for many blockbuster films including Ashikee, Saajan, Deewana, Bajigar and 1942: A Love Story in Bollywood. In his career of three decades, Kumar Sanu worked with several Bollywood music directors. Apart from leading film playback stars, he had several hit doubles numbers, besides the Filmfare Awards, Kumar Sanu was honored with many other awards for his achievement. In 2009, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India by the Indian government.
In addition to playback singing, Kumar Sanu appeared as a judge on several television shows. and have a special presence in the heart (1999) and Dum Laga Ki Hasha (2015) as an actor.
